Philippa Deeley BA, FGA, DGA, MRICS
Philippa (Pippa) Deeley established Philippa H Deeley Ltd in January 2007. The company specialises in antiques and fine art consultancy and valuations. It acts for private clients as an independent valuer and agent, giving advice on all types of chattel valuations including sale by auction, probate and insurance. It also provides numerous salerooms with a consultancy service including auctioneering, cataloguing, valuations and a specialist knowledge regarding jewellery.
Pippa is a highly qualified general valuer of antiques and fine art with ten years experience. She studied for a degree in Fine Art Valuation at Southampton Institute and then went on to work in various salerooms in the South East. Whilst working for Bracketts Fine Art Auctioneers, Tunbridge Wells in 2002 as a senior valuer and auctioneer, she began appearing on BBC's Bargain Hunt as an auctioneer and expert, and went on to work for and appear on BBC's Flog It, BBC's Cash In The Attic and ITV's Dickinson's Real Deal, continuing to work for both the BBC and ITV today.
In 2005 Pippa moved to Bristol to work for Dreweatt Neate (recently re-branded as Dreweatts) and in her two years there as a general valuer, she also specialised in jewellery. Her qualifications include not only a BA with honours but also a diploma in gemmology (FGA) and a gem diamond diploma (DGA) both awarded by the Gemmological Association of Great Britain. She is also a member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors Fine Arts and Chattels Division (MRICS)
Pippa returned to the South East and set up Philippa H Deeley Ltd in January 2007, realising a longstanding dream to run her own company. The company has established a busy private client base and provides a consultancy service for auction rooms nationwide.
